One of our lovely customers, Jeff Marcoe, who purchased a pair of handcrafted Andrew Jackson brogues from us recently thought it was only fitting that they be worn in a suitably presidential location, and proudly showed them off for the first time today in downtown Washington, DC.
The Andrew Jackson brogues, named after the late US President and famed General Andrew Jackson, are the flagship shoes in the Presidential collection, available exclusively from Robinson’s Shoemakers. These brogues are made with tradition in mind, so it should come as no surprise that the name was chosen intentionally to reflect their heritage. Andrew Jackson, whose father was born in Carrickfergus, Country Antrim, is where we maintain our showroom and head office today.
Jeff, who works in the city in the US Chamber of Commerce, couldn’t wait to step foot outside to show off his new brogues, made using time honoured traditions to create a stylish yet practical shoe, perfect when you need to dress to impress for a day at the office.
Not content to just show them off at work however, Jeff and his new shoes took in the sights of the city, stopping at Lafayette Square, the beautiful park between the Chamber and the White House, where we have no doubt he was the best-dressed gentleman there.
A devotee and enthusiast of all things British and Irish made, he has paired his Andrew Jackson burnished whiskey calf leather brogues with a traditional tweed suit from distinguished Yorkshire tailor Brook Taverner and a crisp shirt and tie, to truly encompass our stylish heritage from Britain and Ireland.
Why not call in to see us and try on a pair yourself? Or alternatively, you can order online from anywhere in the world with free worldwide delivery on all orders over £150.
